Our/Your

We disappear in the light.
We disappear in the dark.
In a world that doesn’t see us,
Where did we go?

Into our light.
Into your dark.

We give up everything.
We give up nothing.
We’re not allowed to have ourselves,
So what do we have?

We have our everything.
We have your nothings.

We embody joy.
We embody despair.
Our feelings are a mirror,
Yet whose are they reflecting?

Our joy.
Your despair.

We become who we must.
We become who we are.
From two to one,
Who is left?

Ourselves.
Yourselves.
