Patience

In the darkness
Sleep eludes
Pangs of pain
In flesh and thought
Are the brambles I endure
To find the fields
Of sweet scent and light
Where I will lay
Resplendent in the grass
Fingers twined within my hair
Lovely lovable
In beams of sun and moon
Body and spirit
Finally at peace
