HRT Week 17 Review

[Looking for information about male to female hormone replacement therapy dosing and effects? Read my Brief Overview of Feminizing Hormones post.]

Week: 17

Dose: 3 mg/day estradiol

Weight: 182 lbs.

Physical: Not much happening here. A few nipple twinges and a subjective observation that my breast area feels and looks a big larger, but I still haven’t been able to find my tailor’s tape to measure.

I did have an arthritis flare up this past week that hobbled me for a few days and that did require a disclosure at urgent care to secure a prescription to treat it, but that was (thankfully) uneventful.

Emotional: Tired, stressed out, and depressed. Most of it is linked to just not getting enough rest and the emotional energy it takes to manage my spectrum kid. Work has also been very stressful as I’m caught in the middle of some large organizational politics that I’m working on charting a course through. All of these things combined have been exhausting.

One bright spot was that I was able to grab lunch with a local trans friend and catch up with her, which helped me feel somewhat less isolated on this journey.
