About Heather

Welcome and thanks for stopping by!

I’m a trans woman living in the Seattle area who is a part-time parent with two younger kids. While I used to work in the technology industry, writing is one of my passions. I blog here to vent about the downs and celebrate the ups surrounding my transition, document how feminizing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has been affecting me, and publish poetry as another creative outlet.

I’ve been in transition for the better part of fifteen years now, so my journey is less typical than most, and If you want to get a better sense of who I am and what’s brought me to transition, you’ll want to read through my personal history posts. I transitioned in early late 2016.

I also have several observations on coming out as trans that you might want to read if you’re considering doing so yourself.

Being trans can be hard, but it can also be a source of joy as you discover yourself. Wherever you are on your own path of gender discovery, I wish you well, and thanks for stopping by!

P.S. – I’m on Twitter as @cistotrans.

If you’d like to support my writing, please consider purchasing a poetry collection of mine from the Kindle store. Thank you!

    Hi Heather,

I just read your “Two Years Post-GCS” post and loved it. Why? Because it confirms what I had contemplated prior to my own GCS (also two years ago) where I opted for zero-depth vaginoplasty. I’ve also found that my libido is almost nonexistent and have almost zero pleasure in having that area stimulated either by myself or others. I wished to add a comment along these lines to your post but it seems that comments aren’t enabled. I looked around to see if I could contact you and found this, so here I am. I also live in Seattle. Who knows, maybe we’ve met!

    Best wishes,
